If you do not have any experience or degrees, please enroll in our Security Fundamentals I course. This class was developed for students with no experience as it breaks down the fundamentals of security. In addition, it prepares you for the Security+ Certification.

What happens if I miss a class?

If for any reason you happen to miss a class, please join us on Cyber Thursday. Cyber Thursday is an open forum we use to cover topics that may have been confusing or topics you may have missed. This is a great opportunity to get extra hands on experience.

Are classes recorded?

No. Classes are not recorded.

Will there be online quizzes and exams?

Yes. Students will have access to official CompTIA quizzes and exams.

What if I need extra help?

Do I need to be in class at a certain time?

Yes. Please try to sign into your class Zoom 15 minutes before class starts to resolve any technological difficulties you may be experiencing.

Are there payment plans?

What if I miss a payment?

Unfortunately, if you miss a payment you will be withdrawn from the class and your CompTIA material will be revoked.

What application should I install?

Classes are hosted via Zoom. You can download and install zoom prior to class. In addition, you will be prompted to download Zoom after clicking the class's Zoom URL.

What kind of laptop do I need?

Any laptop with a functioning microphone and speakers.

 

Can I use my phone?

Yes. Zoom allows you to connect via cellular devices.

 

What if I am getting off of work when class starts?

Typically, students connect to class from their phones if they are getting off from work. Once they are settled, they re-connect to class from their laptops.

 

How much time should I spend studying outside of class?

We strongly recommend that students commit at least an hour a day to study and comprehend class materials.

 

Is there class material?

Yes. Students are provided with official CompTIA material that will enable them to effectively prepare for their certifications and employment opportunities.

How many students are in a live class?

Each live class has a maximum of 10 students.

What is Discord?

Discord is a free voice, video, and text application. It is a communication app that we use to enhance our learning efforts. Discord can be used on mobile devices such as your phone just as well as workstations. ​
